Shipping Options
Understanding Shipping Options: LCL vs. FCL
At Carican Global Express, we offer both LCL (Less than Container Load) and FCL (Full Container Load) services to meet the needs of every customer — from individuals shipping a single barrel to businesses shipping pallet loads.
FCL – Full Container Load
Best for: Large personal moves, businesses, or bulk freight.
Benefits
-
Entire container dedicated to one customer
-
Sealed at origin → opened only at final destination
-
Lower damage risk
-
Faster handling and transit time
-
More control over loading/unloading
Perfect for:
-
Full household relocation
-
Large commercial shipments
-
Vehicles
-
High-value or sensitive cargo
LCL – Less than Container Load
Best for: Smaller shipments that don’t require a full container.
Benefits
-
You pay only for the space you use
-
Ideal for barrels, boxes, furniture, small loads
-
Affordable and flexible
-
Perfect for Caribbean-bound mixed cargo
How it works
-
Carican consolidates cargo from multiple customers
-
All items load into one container
-
A single Master Bill (MBL) is created for the whole load
-
Each client receives a House Bill (HAWB/HBL)
Carican Recommendation
-
Shipping one barrel or a few boxes? → Go LCL
-
Shipping full home or business cargo? → Go FCL

LCL vs. FCL — Which Is Right for You?
Carican Global Express – Shipping Made Simple
LCL – Less than Container Load
Ideal for small shipments such as barrels, boxes, or partial loads. You pay only for the space you use. Carican consolidates your shipment with others going to the same destination, giving you an affordable, convenient option.
FCL – Full Container Load
Best for larger shipments like full home moves, commercial cargo, or vehicles. You get an entire container to yourself, offering faster transit, less handling, and additional protection.
